Ice Lake

Oil on Masonite, 8x10 inches, Private Collection

Today I finished my painting of Ice Lake, a place that is very close to our new home in Mountain Top, PA. The location seems to be a favorite spot for fisherman. What I enjoyed most was the lighting of the scene. I'm beginning to notice how different the light is here compared to where we used to live. The painting went through many changes in color and composition. My hope was to reflect what it really felt like to be at Ice Lake.

  3. This is probably my favorite land/seascape of all time. And I think the lighting is different because God doesn't shine much light down on Moconaqua!
