Riverbank in the Rain by Gustave Caillebotte

Oil on Canvas, 23 x 31 inches, 1875

You may be familiar with the Caillebotte paintings 'Paris Street, Rainy Day' and 'The Floor Scrapers.' I was pleasantly surprised to come across the above painting when reading this post from the blog lines and colors.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

  1. Leah, I'm unfamiliar with Caillebotte. Beautiful work. Thanks for the turn-on! So much better than the hackneyed Impressionists.

  2. Adam, I'm glad you enjoyed it. The more work that I see by Caillebotte, the more I like him.
