Sundown Near Montclair by George Inness

Oil on canvas, 1885

I've been seeing a lot of beautiful trees this autumn and decided to search for some nice seasonal paintings. I found some interesting John Grimshaw moonlit street scenes, detailed forest interiors by William Trost Richards, and soft landscapes by Inness. The warm gold and reds of the sunset in the above painting just remind me of the fall.
